PUFFBALL, Sweden’s most hardhitting, uncompromising rock’n’ roll combo, enters their 8th year in existence without moving one inch from their patented pedal-to-the-metal-mix of punk, NWOBHM and good ol’ honest rock’n’ roll.
As one reviewer said "Puffball are sure to make you want to get behind the wheel of your road machine and put the pedal to the floor. 115 mph with the windows rolled down."!
The band, consisting of Tossa on guitar and vocals, P-O on guitar, Linkan on bass and Forsberg on drums, started out in 1995, hellbent on making full speed rock the way Motorhead should sound in the late 90's. In other words: suping up old NWOBHM riffing with Swedish punk rock nitro ... Now after over 7 years in existence, 2 mini-CD's, 4 fullength albums and a bunch of vinylsingles/10-inches and four European tours Puffball have become a band that people mention in the same sentences as their own heroes, bands as Motorhead, Dwarves, Supersuckers and Zeke.
The new album, "Leave Them All Behind", is released in Europe on Burning Heart Records on the 27th of January 2003 but has also recently been released by JVC/Victor in Japan and the influential US label Gearhead Records are set to release it over the Atlantic aswell. The new album sees the band taking another step in finetuning their MOTORHEAD/ZEKE inspired rock songwise but still staying true to the high velocity roots they're known for. Safe to say, "Leave Them All Behind", recorded in Studio Sutare, Vasteras, Sweden by Lasse Holmgren and Matt From, kicks more ass than your daddy on a three bottle night! During the spring the band will hit the European roads again on a close to 3 week tour taking them through Denmark to Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and back home.
