UNO bowl, softball, and can you smell what Barack is cookin'?

Crazy weekend!

Friday night was relatively calm, except for the adventures of John, Val, Rachel, Amy, and the Tunnel That Smelled Like Pee.  Saturday morning Rachel and I got up early and went to Alfred Angelo's for their "grand opening" to look at wedding dresses.  I found some nice dresses, but I think that I found what I want my bridesmaids to wear... here... look:

  and

That's Rachel in the picture, by the way, but as I was taking the pictures, she said "If you use those on the interweb, crop out my face."  So, I'm obliging.

Anyway, they wouldn't be in black - at least not on my side of the aisle.  Doloris and Amy might wear these in black, but my girls would wear them in this color:
  So, that's that about that.

Saturday night was the UNO bowl, which, in our world, is a bigger event than the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, the World Series, and whatever it is that they do for basketball COMBINED.  3.5 hours of nothing but UNO and smack talk.  I have some pictures, but since I was hosting, Rachel got most of them.  So I won't even tease you with my lame amount of pictures of the night and will, instead, make a whole new post for them when Rachel uploads hers.
Sunday was my first softball game.  For those of you who don't know (which is, apparently, most of you)  I joined the company softball team in an effort to "try something new" and hopefully lose some weight.  Well, Sunday we had our first games.  We lost, but not badly - 13-8 and 14-8.  Our second game was called in the 5th, though, due to rain, so who knows?  Maybe we would have come back (not likely - that team was HARDCORE).  I played catcher (shut up, J) and my legs are very, incredibly sore today.

Now, to get a little serious.  Tomorrow is the primary election in Pennsylvania.  So, if you live in Pennsylvania and are 18 or over, get your ass out there and vote people!  Seriously.  I don't care who you vote for, just do it.  But that brings me to my grumble.  Since about 10 a.m., we have gotten called almost every hour from the "candidates".  I don't want to answer my own phone!  Also, today, yesterday, and Saturday, I've found political ads hanging from my door.  Yesterday, some man who was up from Texas came and asked me if I needed a ride to the polls to vote for Barack, then tried to recruit me to work the polls, which my job won't allow.

It's getting annoying.  I can't wait until Wednesday.

Anyway, stay tuned for a proper UNO bowl post once I get all the pictures.
