It LIVES!!!

Yes, I am alive.

I've been busy these past few weeks.  I've started work at my part-time gig - I facilitate meetings for a local non-profit as an independent contractor (it's a bit of a complicated gig to explain here...) and while in training I get $15/hour, then when I start doing them alone, I'll get $35/hour.  I'll do just about anything for $35/hour.  It's a couple hours here and there, but 95% of it is going into savings and can either go towards the wedding and/or a new car.

On top of that, Saturday I woke up with the stomach flu.  Well, originally we thought it was a hangover because John and I had gone out with some friends of mine from work the night before, but after about the 10th hour of throwing up (I ended up throwing up 12 hours straight... I say that because I know you all wanted to know that), we figured it was something more.  Then John got it 2 days later and we knew we were right.  So, the house was an unpleasant and smelly place for about 4 days.  Fortunately, that was when we had that bout of warm weather (it was in the 50s!) so we were able to at least open a few windows.

I've made some important decisions over the last few days.  The first of which being, if my life is ever made into a movie - and anything based on my life would certainly have that quirky/low budget/independent feel about it (think "Juno" or "Saved") - I want "Island in the Sun" by Weezer to play for the opening credits.

I've also started going through the plethora of bridal magazines I've received since becoming engaged.  I swear to you, I have 10 of these things and I haven't paid for a single one.  I bought a cute little notebook today at Rite-Aide because I had an hour to kill and I've started cutting out things that I like from the magazines and pasting them into the notebook.  It's just nicer for me than having 10, 15 lbs magazines lying around and taking up valuable space that could be used for real books.  They've actually displaced the phone book because I didn't know where else to put them.

The other thing I decided is that I'm really disappointed Jillian didn't win Project Runway.  I would totally wear her stuff.  That stuff the boys brought out I probably wouldn't put on the cat - especially Christian's stuff.

Finally, for those of you who watch it - how cool was last night's "Ghosthunters"?!?  I mean, come on!  I've heard them talk about this season, and apparently it's going to be the best yet.  I can't wait!
