First, I apologise for neglecting my LJ in favor of my MySpace blog. Anyway, I am participating in an autism walk in November. Here are the details:
I have participated in the Southwest Florida Walk Now For Autism every year since I moved back to Florida in 2004. For those who don't know, I have been working with autistic children since 2005. But this isn't my only connection to autism. In November of 2006, at the age of 27, I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome after years of suspecting. Last year was my first walk since my diagnosis, and it was also the first time I raised $100 (thanks Sarah and Toby). I know you all aren't made of money, but every little bit helps.
Ok, that's the personal stuff.
Now, the stuff from the walk's website:
I am participating in Walk Now for Autism to help find a cure for autism. Autism is the second most common developmental disorder in the United States affecting one in every 150 children born today. Despite some promising discoveries, the cause of autism is unknown and a cure does not exist. Research is crucial. Every 20 minutes another child is diagnosed with autism. Not only must we find ways to improve the quality of life for children and adults with autism, but we also must find a cure, and soon.
Walk Now for Autism is our chance to make a difference in the fight against autism by raising money for autism research and heightening public awareness. Please join me in my fight as I raise $125 to help fund essential research. I will be walking on Saturday, November 8, 2008 and would like you to support those affected by autism.
You can donate to Walk Now for Autism and join my team online through my webpage at
www. walknowforautism. org.
Please join me in my fight against autism. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the more than 1 million Americans living with autism today.
Sincerely,
Harold Price

Well, since I posted that on MySpace, I've gotten $20 in donations. I appreciate any help you can give.
In other news, I have a follow-up on my Stootsi unboxings. Apparently the folks at Stootsi saw my unboxings and liked them and sent me the following e-mail:
Harold-
This is Bryan from Stootsi.com. We stumbled across your Youtube videos
online today and we found them fun and entertaining. We'd like to ask if
you if we can continue to send you mystery boxes so these unboxing
videos of yours can continue to be made. We'd like to then, place them
on our website if you don't mind. What do you think? We'd let you keep
whatever we send you. It would be of course entertaining and fun for
you, us, and our customers. Pleaset let us know what you think of the
idea. We'd like to do around 1 box per week or so, you make the video,
and then we put it on our website. Let me know your thoughts!
Regards,
Stootsi.com
Dude! Holy crap! Free stuff for posting unboxings on the web? Sweeeeet! I am pumped!
Anyway, that's what's going on right now. I guess one super-long post makes up for nothing since my last unboxing. Or maybe not. I'll try to give equal time to my LJ in the future.
