I just realized.
THIS is what I missed during this last semester. It was the sound of the birds chirping as they wake up, the sound of my ceiling fan twirling about.
I missed being awake at 5:00 AM knowing that it's alright because I can sleep all day without consequence.
And yet all through this, as some level of contentness returns...I can feel the storm brewing, the raging inferno inside me as the burden on my shoulders is ever present. The birds and the ceiling fan are nice...but I won't be able to truly sit back and listen to them until I accomplish what I've set out to do. The technical season of summer hasn't started yet...but the season in which I plan to change everything has. And the clock is ticking now.
