I should've known it would fall through.

I should've known things wouldn't go according to plan.

I should've known that being me would cause karma would strike this whole fucking thing down.

I should've known that the dream last night clinched it. My dreams never come true.

I can prepare myself for and expect disappointment as much as possible...it helps lower expectations because when you're me, disappointment is always a blink of an eye away. But the truth is, it doesn't really help. Expecting disappointment and lowering expectations lessens the blow, but not nearly enough to make any kind of difference.

I should've known. The universe does not want me to be happy.
