I am still in love with Ashes to Ashes so much, it never gets old I just keep re-watching it. LOL Gene/Alex are so awesome together whether they are working or bantering its all love.
OMG The Office and 30 Rock were both so amusing I just have to post my fav quotes because it 30 Rock was full of the best one-liners and The Office had some awesome classic amusing/awkward moments that we all cherish.

LOL both episodes had me in stitches I love it when your fav shows deliver it makes me happy! : )
I just finished the first season of Life On Mars too. I love it too! It hasn't grabbed me like Ashes to Ashes did but its still an amazing show. I think its the strong, confident, take-no-shit attitude that Alex Drake brings to the show that makes me love it a bit more. The fact that she stands up to Gene in a more blatant way is just so appealing. Even though A2A is a spin-off they both have distinct similarities and differences to them which I think makes them both good in their own way.
Its interesting to compare Sam and Alex's situations. Sam is obviously in a coma and trying to come back, he can hear family and friends through various mediums in his world, and seems to be aware of doctors trying to stimulate some kind of reaction. Whilst in 1973, Sam has visions or flashbacks of things in his past, his memory trying to put together the pieces to the unsolved questions he has, in particular the disappearance of his father, similar to Alex and her parents death. This confirms to me that Sam is in a coma and is technically still alive. Where as Alex has the flashbacks and visions of people and places around the time of her parents death, so she goes about trying to put them together. The difference being that Alex doesn't hear any kind of outside communication, no voices from doctors, family or friends to confirm that she too is in a coma. Doesn't mean that it wont happen next season but this kinda of tells me that maybe she is already dead. idk just my thoughts.
I love Sam and Annie too. They are adorable together. He can always go to her to vent his problems and she listens and gives support unlike the other characters. I still love Gene in 1973. Too bad Alex isn't there yet but he still manages to crack me up by his many inappropriate comments and actions.
