yeah I am back with more random episode rants!
Badlaa
A pretty mah episode except that the little man freaked the shit out of me. He was so creepy on so many levels. He didn’t speak or show and facial expressions. All you heard was the squeek of the cart that he pulled along. Scary.
What was hard to watch though was the last scene. Scully in tears. She has been trying so hard to be like Mulder and think like him. As hard as she tries she cannot get to the same level of believability and faith in the paranormal as him. Scully’s normally controlled composure is broken for a brief moment. The realization that she can never be like him makes it harder to face his disappearance. She needs him. She has relied on him for so long and has had to face everything from a different view point. She is now the believer, well more of a believer than before. In Mulder’s absence she is actually more open to interpretation because of all she has seen. It’s amazing that one scene can be so moving and reveal so much about a person. I want to give Scully a big hug! Bring back Mulder!

OMG the flashbacks were amazing. I totally forgot about Scully having a baby in the series!
Scully in the elevator, almost lost in thought as Mulder appears. Its hard for Scully to accept that she cannot have children. Mulder is curious and worried. Mulder than tells her of the eggs that he found that had been taken from her. He had not told her for fear of adding to her distress when her cancer was seemingly terminal. You can see by Mulder’s face that he was only trying to protect her from any more pain. Despite this, Scully needs a second opinion, she is determine to exhaust any and every option available.
Later on we are shown that she is able to conceive. A donor is needed.
“I just need to figure out how to ask him” - SQUEEEE
Scully: Obviously you have had some time to think about my request
Mulder: Umm, it’s not something I get ask to do everyday. Umm but I am absolutely flattered, no honestly.
Scully: If you’re politely trying to say no it’s ok, I understand
Mulder: You see its weird, cos its sounds really weird I know. I wouldn’t want this to come between us.
Scully: Yeah I know. I understand. I do.
Mulder: (Mulder lightly touches her chin for an instant to get her attention) But the answer is yes.
Scully is surprised, happy. Tears swell as she smiles and hugs Mulder. There is so much love and affection between them. Mulder is just happy to help his friend.)
Later on we are shown Scully after she gets back from the doctors. From the sad look on her face you know that it has not gone well. Mulder can see it too.
Mulder: Never give up on a miracle.
I love the small kiss on the forehead and then they both rest against each other. Another supportive hug as the music swells. (There is something about music in the score that has a lone voice harmonizing that heightens the emotion in any scene)
This is not happening
OMG Gillian Anderson was so amazing in this episode.
As the episode went you can see the desperation in her eyes to find Mulder. The end was heartbreaking. Scully running to Mulder’s body and breaking down, Doggett having to pull her away. Scully breaks free to get Jeremiah’s help. She runs through the darkness as fast as she can. All we see is her silhouette as she sprints back to the camp. Out into the clearing we see the UFO hovering over the houses. Scully is amazed, but as realization sets in, she starts towards the holding room. She knows that they are after Jeremiah, the only hope to save Mulder. She runs inside and opens the door. He is nowhere to be seen, they have taken him.
“This is not happening” she screams towards the sky. It’s followed by a heart wrenching ‘No’. Scully wails and falls to the floor, all hope lost. Shit Gillian blew me away. She kicks ass at playing Scully, the conviction and believability in her characters actions are awesome.
Yah Monica Reyes joins the team; I remember really loving her character. I thought she was great addition to. I was automatically drawn to her. She has a part of her that is like Mulder, open to anything. There is also that side of her that seems to read people that I really like. I can’t wait to see more of her.
Deadalive
This was another great episode with Gillian Anderson acting her ass off!
Her emotions are all over the place once she comes rushing into the hospital after hearing of Mulder’s condition. It’s a mixture of concern, happiness of hopefulness as she talks with Doggett and Skinner. Nothing will keep her away from him.
Despite his condition being so dire that recovery is next to impossible, Scully does not lose hope. I love that The X Files is still exciting and able to incorporate the alien plot line in another interesting direction. We are still left with unanswered questions about what they want with us and what they were/are doing with Mulder. There is also the question of what they want with Scully’s unborn child. Why do they want it gone? By the way I LOVE Krycek as a bad guy I think he pwns every situation! LOL
The end scene, like most episodes was amazing and emotional. I was left with tears as I was at the opening of the episode at Mulder’s grave. Scully’s words and her final goodbye was heart breaking.
Back the end scene. Scully sits patiently in a chair by Mulders hospital bed. She sit waiting for a response, her hand lightly grasping his as it lies lifeless on the bed. A sudden twitch of movement gets her attention. She leans in, desperate to get a glimps of life from her beloved partner, the partner she has not seen or heard from in months. He slowly opens his eyes; Scully is teary and leans in further to get his attention. Mulder smiles slowly and asks who she is. For a moment both Scully and the audience, is in shock. Another obstacle that prevents Mulder and Scully reuniting again! Mulder is just teasing, a smiles adorns his face again. Scully (and me) lets out her breathe with a small laugh on the end. Scully wipes away tears and smiles at him.
She leans down and just lays her head next to him, she finally has him back. Mulder is safe and well. Doggett interrupts the reunion, but catching the emotion and intimacy of the scene, discreetly backs out of the room to leave them both.
OMG has everyone see The X Files 2 trailer that has been leaked?LIAKHFLHFLH IT LOOKS AWESOME! I tried to find it to post it but I think it has been taken down, FAIL!
Its day 2 of O Week and I am already freaking the fuck OUT. Law School is gonna be a bitch. I am already confused as fuck and we haven't even started official lectures yet! I know Ill get used to all the different legal terms and the readings but SHIT its been alot of information to take in so far. LOL I totally pimped The X Files in our 'Getting to know you' group session. They asked us to go round and introduce ourselves and give one interesting fact! Well my intersting fact was that 'I am addicted to The X Files at the moment, its a really awesome show and you should ALL check it out, now" yeah I am such a nerd! Mah I could care less.
