For those of you who use Tumblr

Do you have any ART or PHOTOGRAPHY-related Tumblr recs, please?

Not looking for anything fandom related; I wish to preserve my sanity...

LOL I am literally currently in the middle of ranting at my friends on Twitter about how tumblr-based fandom is the cesspool of the internet.

I really don't want to have any more to do with it fandom-wise; but I suspect I will be back for new gifs each Wednesday post-ep once season three starts, but that will be it. I really cannot be bothered dealing with all the drama and the out and out creepiness.

I have a photography Tumblr for my stuff - there is some pretty awesome art stuff on Tumblr. I am going to carry on using it for that (hence the recs request!).

(Oh, did you get my mail about Darren tickets last week, BTW? Thanks.)

4chan, tho. I think that's why I'm so "meh" on the tumblr crazies, because I know how much worse it could be. XD I do have to say that it's quickly becoming the new 4chan, and that's pretty scary right there. Also those people are pretty dumb for saying such creepilicious things without being anon. I get that the internet has desensitized us, but yeah...

Yeah but the thing about 4chan or any other forum, and LJ, is that it's way less public. With Tumblr, you have the combination of it being the dumb, crazy, creepy fans who act inappropriately, invade privacy, etc, doing it in a really public space, and that place has somehow become, like, gossip blogs consider a legit news source and trawl for info/pics.

Pretty much. And if you're gonna be creepy in a place like that, at least go anon and don't freaking tag the actors' names in you post. Thankfully, the actors in question will probably never see it unless someone tweets it to them or something. I know we've spoken about this before, but it is crazy how twitter and facebook have blurred the lines between public/professional and private lives. Imagine if Nsync or the Backstreet boys would have been around with twitter and tumblr. Crazy stuff.
