No House but I got to use Gronwall-Bellman

well, I don't know if making use of the Gronwall-Bellman inequality really makes up for losing a house to someone who offers the same amount, just in cash, but it did make me rather proud. Gronwall-Bellman isn't quite as fun to say as Lipschitz but it's just a tool, not a condition that needs to be proven so it makes it a lot easier to stomach. All it does is help derive an explicit bound for a function from an implicit inequality which can be useful to prove various issues related to boundedness. Anyway, I made use of it on one of the homework problems so that's good. The problem was kind of set up in a way to make it pretty obvious that one should use it, but hey, I can still take some credit, right?

As much as it's a pain to wake up at 7 I really enjoy swimming in the morning. It's a great way to start the day and swimming with the team really gives me a much much better workout than the slack-job I get done when I go on my own. I should really suck it up and get used to getting up at 7 (or maybe 6:50 since I got to the pool a little late today).

I have a huge pile of laundry that needs to get done but it was too annoyingly cold and dark when I got home to deal with it. I hope I have at least some clean cloths left to wear tomorrow.

P.S. I really like eggplant. It's delicious.
