Tonight for supper i made two dishes.

the first was lima beans. i boiled them for a while. and then i made a sauce with diced onions, garlic, canned tomatoes, salt, hot pepper and sage. i added the beans back in, added some water and vegetable bouillon, and let it cook for a long time, until the liquid was basically gone. then i added some large pieces of diced dried sausage. it looked like this:



the second thing was brussel sprouts. i cut them in half and braised them in a little water to soften them a bit. then i added two diced shallots and a hunk of butter, and fried them for a bit. when they were done cooking, i added toasted sliced almonds, lemon juice, salt, and a lot of black pepper. once they were on the plate, i added some very thin slices of sheep's milk manchego. it looked like this:
