My first cosplay ever! And of course it's from a Bioware game. xD My primary Shepard, a female vanguard.

SET 1: Rubble and remembrances.
This was the first part of the shoot, set against post-Reaper ruins as Shepard comes to lay lilies on the rubble. She's wearing black, naturally - but a dress classes up the affair nicely.

I hate having muscular calves. They photograph poorly. Though we did have to break into a collapsed foundry to take these shots - through a fence! In and out before we got caught. =)
This is my take on the Shepard dress. In one of the ME2 DLCs, Shepard has to infiltrate a swanky party, and so she is given a (IMHO)
pretty hideous leather dress that you can then proceed to wear casually around the ship.
Gawd, do I hate that dress. So I put together what I thought my Shepard would have worn as a black dress - a sheath with pockets, a black faux leather jacket, and heels that mold to your feet like a second skin (and can probably be used as a weapon in a pinch).
Also, higher heels would have made the angle of her feet a little closer to Garrus', which I think he would appreciate.

SET 2: Alliance fatigues
The
Alliance casual fatigues you can wear around the Normandy. Except I'm pretty sure that if she could get away with it, Shepard would totally wear a Blasto or Elcor Hamlet t-shirt and just hide it under her BDU jacket when the brass came around. =)

Adding nametapes to her uniform! 'Urdnot' after she was adopted, and 'Vakarian' due to a certain Turian sniper.
Shepard's a modern girl. She hyphenates.
(Though it must piss off the officers in charge of uniforms that she's had to change them twice.)

Some notes about the costume! The combat boots were an Ebay find, and the Blasto shirt I designed myself (and is now available in an
online shop!). I made the black camo underlay by overlaying mesh camo and black (finding dark camo is a bitch!), and made the pants myself, sewing the pockets and grommeting to match. The white stitching wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Belt is faux leather, as is the gun holster. The gun is a repaint.
The BDU jacket is awesome. I snagged a black combat jacket from a surplus, sewing the N7 stripes down the side. The nametapes I got from a friend who does them for the military, and the patches are the BioWare ones.
doc_smiley helped me make the Spectre badge. =)

SET 2b: Blasto Fangirl
Enough said. Shepard is one classy motherfucker.
...And the person you don't want to sit behind at the holo theatres.

19 "This one has no time for your solid waste excretions."
20 "Did a Prothean just descend? Because this one would gladly 'enkindle' that."
21 "Badassfully: I'm done for, Blasto...*cough*" "No, you are too aesthetically displeasing to die. This one will not stand for your termination."
So overall, I'm pretty proud of how this turned out! My hair worked, the outfit worked, and I think my expressions and poses are very Shepard, at least the way I played her - sarcastic, frank, and damn good with a gun.
I had a lot of fun. A lot. Being dressed like her was surprisingly satisfying, and I loved every minute of it.
There are kind of a lot this time around - favorites (from each set and overall!) are very welcome and very helpful.
