first of all, i want to say THANK YOU to everyone who IMed, e-mailed, stopped by, facebook messaged or called me yesterday (or somewhere in the vicinity of yesterday) to wish me happy birthday! so, thanks to: trang, jen, brian, teresa, matt-o, eaming, ali, megan b., sarah, tara, joe, tammy, jordan, kandis, chris, cat, briana, lorelei, tiff, stephen, ami, tabitha, eric, kayleigh, ben, john, tori, juli, megan h., matty, and sabrene! i hope i didn't leave anyone out! also, hooray for: the blimpie guy who gave me my lunch for free, the applebee's bartender who hooked me up with a free milkshake, and the tollbooth operator who let me thru the toll on 195 for free!
i wish it was my birthday everyday!
pacsun update: adam worked it out so that i'll get my weekend off after all! i'll have to work one thursday night instead of class, but that's not the end of the world, especially if it means a trip to myrtle beach!
on the random itchy, painful bumps: they're slowly, but surely healing! provided that there isn't a recurrance, i'm guessing they'll be totally gone by the time the weekend rolls around. my belly button is excited! this is a big plus!
on the school front, i can't seem to manage waking up for class. i don't know if i'm just so exhausted from work, or if i just don't give a damn about international relations (both of those options being equally likely), but i cannot make it to that 9:00 am class for the life of me. here's to saladino not ever giving a surprise quiz on a day that i'm not there, or at the very best, sleeping in class. other than the IR class, things are going well. ecology is far more interesting than i remember earth science being in 8th grade, even though the material is exactly the same. i recall a lot more info from that class than i thought i would be able to. maybe it's the fact that the professor is hilarious... first day of class he puts this slide up of him doing some marine bio field work at a river, and he's clearly checking out the ass of the girl standing in front of him (which he actually pointed out to us... we weren't going to say anything) anyway, he sort of reminds me of the big stupid surfer type, and his voice is really deep. listening to him talk is actually sort of amusing... maybe that's why i pay attention?
ugh, gross! so i just read that britney spears had her baby. i'm glad it wasn't yesterday. i don't think i'd be able to live with myself knowing that i shared a birthday with the spawn of britney and kevin. the plain fact that people like them can procreate is a little disturbing. they need to be stopped. keep in mind this is kevin federline's THIRD child. does the world really need 3 human beings that share even parts of his genes? i doubt it. britney spears might be a moron, but she's not nearly as bad as her human-wasteland husband.
