[This is a joint action thing with nightsofrain. Much earlier in the day, Charle and her went through the portal together, hand in hand! And they arrived in the snow quite a ways from the village.
Given Charle's fail sense of direction and Kyrie's frail state, their trek back to the village has been very slow and they are only now getting to the edges in the evening at about sundown. It's unclear what kinda state they are in, but Charle has moved a little past dejected and now seems to be trying to enjoy herself with her new cow-sounding self.
