[Adell comes into the kitchen of their house. Seeing Charle readying the kitchen isn't really new. She, Sylvia, and himself usually took turns cooking now and then. But something seems... different about her today. Adell leans up against one of the counters near her.]

Hey Charle. [And a pause.] ...You look a little pensive. Everythin' all right?

[He's always like this, she gives him a little wave for a greeting, but she's not doing much now. Instead she just leans back a bit on the counter herself before answering]

Huh... of course it is. [With a little frown. what are you getting at, boy...]

[He's not entirely sure he believes that, but for now, he'll let it slide.]

Good. It just looked like you had something on your mind. Either way, do you need a hand with anything?

[Because he's more than glad to help her if she wants an assistant.]

Oh no... I was just making something, but right now I'm taking a break. [She shakes her head, even. But then, considering what she was messing with...]

I was going to bake a pie.

A pie? [Well, that pings Adell! That's very relevant to his interest. And he smiles that kind of smile to show it.] What kind?

[He likes it when Charle bakes. That's hardly a secret.]

[Except she's much, much better with cakes than pies. Those crusts are the bane, man. But that said...]

Sounds good to me. Did we have the berries for it, or do we need to run to the store for some?

[!! With a dramatic point at the door. They actually have some, but no nearly enough]

[Adell laughs and gives a salute.]

I'll get right on it. Anything else you need while I'm there?

Cinnamon sugar? Oh! And let's splurge and get some ice cream, it can be a celebration!

[And he turns to head out the door to the store. He'll be back pretty quick. House 44 isn't far from the square at any rate!]

[Oh, sweet. In that case, she'll get to work with the primary layer before the barriers go in. ...And consulting a book for confirmation on things]

[Adell comes back, giving a brief call when he opens the front door.]

[And he heads right into the kitchen with the bag. Yup, he got the sugar, the ice cream, and the blueberries, and he sets them on the counter near Charlotte.]

Looks like a good batch of blueberries this time.
