Plates of dubious origin!

guess what they contain

I bought these on Etsy back in December and I didn't want to dump them here all at the same time (if you'll remember I had the other ones, too). :) No descriptions, just pretty--the art on these is lovely. The seller didn't know what the book was, but the prints themselves are 1919 reproductions of an 1830 journal as far as I am aware. I'm not sure if the book was German and the plates French or vica/versa. But the text on the bottom left hand corner is German.





(It sometimes surprises me how many of these contain walking-arm-in-arm scenes.) I love the hair on white dress girl. It's ridiculous. Also, the bonnet on habit girl.



This is my favourite fashion plate. (Of the ones that I own, as I've seen nicer that I don't own.) It's adorable. I love the stripes and I love the desk and I think the expression on her face is cute.
