when will this winter end?!
It's cold and dark and I'm constantly sleepy and tense. People are rushing since they have to catch up on work not done during the snow days. Performance agreements are due in six weeks. We have lawsuits and deadlines and (chicago) bears, OH MY!
I was deeply saddened by the SeaHawks loss to the the Bears. Now I don't care much for the Superbowl, which would look great on Juan's plasma tv, by the way. I find myself constantly watching the clock and counting down the days to the weekend. I'm really looking forward to spring which then leads to longer summer days. Sunshine till 10 p.m., bbq's on our back porch and our kiddie pool warmed by the sun.
On the plus side, I have seen some daylight after work hours. Nia and Morgen had their 2nd and 4th bdays, respectively. Ate Ellaine is going to the Philippines to bring back cookies for me. I'm still deeply in love with my husband (are we still considered newlyweds?) We have another long weekend in February and the Seattle faction of the Bareng family all have their birthdays coming up this quarter. I'm not sure what I'll be doing for mine. I'm always torn between being comfy with the hubby and partying with my pals. I just noticed that it falls on a Friday, so I may want to do a happy hour.
