protip: US money orders work, too. you can cash them much faster than US cheques. paypal works, too, but obviously only if both of you have paypal accounts.

Thanks! I have a paypal account but it is only linked to my credit card, not a bank account so I don't know what happens if someone tries to send me money through that avenue. Maybe the money order is the best way to go?

I don't think you can withdraw it to a credit card the way you can to a bank account, but you can use it to buy other stuff via PayPal.

I've found it most useful to have my PP account linked to my bank account. I far prefer being able to buy things online with money I already have, as opposed to racking up credit card debt.
