Recs wanted

Hi everyone,

I've just been in hospital (nothing too serious) and am now feeling sore and bored. I'm after comfort recs - the story you reach for again and again when you want to feel better. Well written and not too retchingly fluffy, please (I don't think that I could cope with retching. Also laughter hurts, so please warn me if something is hysterically funny and I'll save it to read later.).
