On Vox: Winter Solstice

Flatford Mill
I have realised that my vox journal has not had an update about the 'Holidays' /New Year reflections

For most of the last year we were living in Limbo, with secret plans that only a very few were aware of, and stealthy visits away for interviews.

My own plans for my life post depression are mostly on hold, with the decision that supporting my husband to reach his own goals are an important part of my future too.

After many years of our existence revolving around my mental health and the support to help me heal, it was nice to redress the balance, and use the HR knowledge from my former vocation to help Tim through a process that was completely foreign to him.

Now we have moved from Limbo to Transition - comparable in scale to when I relocated after our marriage over a decade ago.

For Christmas/New Year I had Tim home for over a week, which was nice, but didn't make seeing him off again at the end any easier I will see him again in a couple of weeks.

There was a good mix of catching up with friends and family, and of working hard on sorting out the hoarded stuff that only Tim could make decisions on.

Hopefully by next New Year we will be settled in a new home and community.
