A few months had passed and Ryutaro just can’t live without Mizuki’s presence. He never thought he’ll actually enjoy life full of children since he, himself is considered as one.
He stared at the girl sitting beside him mending some sort of cloth that will be used by the children. He looked helplessly at her perfectly shaped face and her complexion that easily matched the colour of the autumn sky. Her eyes twinkled along with the lights that easily helped to reveal her skin pattern. By this, he sighed admiringly at her figure as if waiting for an immediate response from the latter.
He just can believe that from his young age, he fell in love with someone as perfect as Mizuki. Only a few months ago, he was determined to find a girlfriend more mature and older than him. Yet, seeing Mizuki this close made him more grateful on his existence.
He’s planning to confess. Yes! It’s his first time confessing to a girl and he wants it to be perfect. He gulped before imagining how he will confess to her and just thought he needs somewhat of a help.
With this in thought, he just can’t help but to reminisce how they met and how ironic fate was: giving him painful times at first… but happiness afterwards.
Suddenly...
“Mizuki nee-chan…” a little boy suddenly disturbed Ryutaro’s mind when he shook Mizuki’s sleeve… “Ryutaro nii-chan likes you”
*awkward silence*
Ryutaro felt his own eyes widen because this kid… THIS KID JUST CONFESSED FOR HIM!
He blinked twice trying to process what just happened. He then looked at Mizuki who seems to be in shock as well. Ryutaro stayed quiet for a while not really in the right composure to say anything. He just waited for the girl’s response. However, she somehow countered what the little boy just said with a nervous chuckle.
“Ehh?” Mizuki said nervously, trying to avoid looking at Ryutaro which she knows is only a few centimetres away from her… “There’s no way Ryutaro nii-chan likes me Kento-kun” she continued then patted the small head of the boy.
“Besides… I think he’s GAY!” Mizuki whispered playfully but enough to make Ryutaro hear. By this, the boy sitting next to her just protested and even lost all his sanity.
“Gay? What are you talking about?” Ryutaro shouted against her insult… “I’m not GAY!”
“Prove it…”
Ryutaro thought for a while to think of a good answer. Yet, nothing seems to get into him.
“See… you can’t prove it so you ARE GAY!”
“No I’m not!” he tried to protect himself… “Because… because… I like someone… and SHE IS A GIRL!!”
“Really? Who?”
“I can’t say…”
“Yappari~ then you’re gay”
“No! I’m not gay because I LIKE YOU!” he replied without really thinking.
Within seconds, everything had gone quiet. The sound of the breeze going through the leaves were the only thing that keeps the natural sound within Ryutaro and Mizuki’s surroundings. Ryutaro just felt his heart thump a few times faster than normal which is enough to make him sweat.
For this time, he just wanted the ground to open and swallow him alive. Yet, he can’t hide the fact that he wanted to say this to her and just waited patiently for her answer.
“Y- You like me?” she asked.
“hmmm… YES! Therefore, I’m not gay!” Ryutaro said, trying his best to stay composed and cool.
“I don’t believe you…”
“Ehh? But I do!”
“Prove it!”
“Ehh? How?”
“That’s for you to figure out!”
Ryutaro thought for a moment and tried his best to think of a good idea to prove his love for Mizuki. This might sound cheesy but he wanted to show and make her realise that not all things he does is done half-heartedly and immaturely. Then, he thought of a great idea…
“Yosh~ I’ll prove it to you… come with me!” he grabbed Mizuki’s hand and led her to a familiar room where 8 babies were shown in their presence.
Ryutaro then called all the children in the orphanage as if trying to show off some magic trick that he intended to do. Within a flash, he gathered all the materials he needs: powder, wet wipes and most especially… diaper!
Misuki felt her eyes widen but at the same time gave off a confused remark.
“Don’t tell me you’re gonna prove it by changing those babies' diapers?” she asked with a chuckle.
“Yes! I never thought I’ll do this ever but… I’ll do it for you”
Mizuki just felt a slight tingle in her spine which awoken her spirit. This is enough to make her face blushed and just hope that Ryutaro won’t fail. She knows for a fact that he can never touch a baby’s bum for that matter. “Is he actually gonna do it?”

Ryutaro took a deep breath and started his way changing the baby’s nappy. At first, he hesitated to even look at the baby’s bum but he managed to get over it by squinting. He then placed a peg over his nose, not to let the smell get into him. This sight just made all the children watching him and Mizuki laugh their heads off - quite amused that Mr. Teddy is actually doing his best.
They watched him wiped and put powder on the baby’s bottom and just put the diaper on slowly and gently as if doing some finishing touches to his state of artwork.
“DONE!!!” he said proudly after hearing the baby’s soft giggle in contentment.
“Ohhhh~” his audience complimented and actually clapped before him since they all know that that was Ryutaro’s greatest challenge.
“Geez~ that was more difficult than practicing dance steps and songs everyday” he said to himself with a wide grin across his face.
He then turned to Mizuki who is still quite amused on what happened. “Do you believe me now?”
By this, Mizuki just smiled and patted his head: “This is the worst confession ever! But I believe you” she smiled.

*next day*
Ryutaro gulped as soon as he saw his complexion in the mirror. He’s wearing perfectly normal clothes but somehow, having the thought of having his first date with Mizuki is hard for him to digest.
He saw the children smiling at him innocently which just made him smile back and wished that everything will be okay.
Suddenly…
*ring *ring*
He felt his phone vibrating along with the faint sound of his ring tone. He then took the chance to answer it.
“Moshi moshi?”
“Ryuu!” a familiar voice on the other end of the line sounded excited and happy… “I have good news! You’re coming back!” Yabu said without a pause and broke the good news to the younger member.
“Ehh? Really? Yatta!!!” Ryutaro jumped for joy - can’t really express the happiness he’s feeling at the moment.
“Yes! You’re in the orphanage right? Go outside within 5 minutes… we’ll be there to pick you up” Yabu answered excitedly and instructed the boy.
However, Ryutaro’s smile suddenly broke when he remembered about Mizuki.
“Ehh? You’re picking me up now? I can’t” he said over his mouth piece.
“Why?”
“I have plans this evening…” he explained.
“Plans? You need to come today! You have some serious practicing to do since you’ll be on TV again” Yabu replied with a serious tone… “I’ll see you soon… bye”

Mizuki took a deep breath as she managed to fix her hair. She tried her best to regain her composure as the thoughts of her first date will be held with someone special.
She looked at her small mirror and smiled innocently before it. Only a few minutes from now, his new boyfriend will come and give her the best date ever. She took another breath and sat down the nearest bench waiting for her said ‘date’. She never thought that she’ll be this nervous just because of Ryutaro.
*2 hours later*
Mizuki looked at her clock and started worrying. She promised to meet Ryuu on this place about two hours ago but the boy is nowhere to be found. She tried dialling his number a few times now but the line was busy which enough to make her restless…
“I’ll kill him for making me wait…” she said grumpily but can’t hide the fact that she is indeed worried. She then pulled herself up and headed to the orphanage to see if someone knows where Ryutaro is.
Only after a few minutes, she reached the said place and scanned it to look for Ryutaro’s presence. However, she saw none.
“Nee-chan…” one of the children pulled Mizuki’s hand which gained her attention almost immediately… “Ryutaro nii-chan is gone!” the little girl continued whilst crying.
“Ehh? Where is he?”
“He got into the car and he’s gone!” another boy said and also burst into tears.
Mizuki felt her chest tighten as the word “gone” lingered through her. She felt her own eyebrows meeting at the centre along with the children’s cries surrounding her presence.
“Here… he left you this nee-chan… he said to give it to you” one boy handed her a piece of paper with Ryutaro’s hand writing embedded on it. She then took the initiative to read the note which shattered her to pieces.
“Dear Mizuki,
Sorry I didn’t turn up on our date. I know. I’m the biggest jerk ever. Johnny-san called me this afternoon and asked me to come back. You might not believe me, but I’ll come back for you like what I’m gonna do for my fans now…
I promise.
- Ryutaro”
Mizuki felt her own tears crawling down her face. She felt her knees starting to weaken and just met the floor along with some silent cries on her part. The children around her just pulled her closer and hugged her tight.
“Nee-chan… He promised to come back. I believe in him”

*A few months later*
A few months had passed and all Mizuki’s tears had faded. She knows for herself that the boy she once loved is not ever coming back. Yet, a part of her is still waiting.
The sight of the youngest member of Hey! Say! Jump coming back on television had awoken many fans and definitely made a boom on Johnny’s Entertainment. Mizuki hated the fact that she still likes him. The sight of Ryutaro being in all the TV programmes is just too painful for her. However, she can’t hide her feelings of happiness that he is now happy doing his career.
She scanned through the TV channels again and found another programme with Ryuatro in it.
“Ahh~ It’s Ryuu nii-chan!” one of the children said… “I wonder when is he coming back?” the girl continued with a weary expression.
“I told you, right? He’s not coming back anymore!” Mizuki said coldly which made the child frown.
“But he said he will…”
“Do you actually believe that?”
“Yes! I believe in Ryutaro nii-chan!” the girl argued but now with tears flowing on her face after seeing the angry Mizuki as if scolding her. After seeing this, Mizuki realised what she’d done and immediately hugged the child. She also shed a few tears and just reminisced the time when Ryutaro was still there.
“I know… I miss him too” she whispered through the air.

*Johnny’s Jimusho*
“Well done on your solo performance on Shokura today Ryuu” Daiki patted the younger boy’s back and smiled in return.
“Thanks… But do you think Johnny-san will let me take a day off today? I want to see Mizuki”
“Ehh? Hmmm… Mizuki? Ahh~ she’s the one you mentioned when you came back?” Daiki replied.
“Yeah… I haven’t seen him for almost half a year now. I miss her” he said with quite weary eyes.
Seeing this, Daiki just patted his shoulder once again and just can’t help but to think how Ryutaro turned into a more mature being after his punishment a few months ago.
“Don’t worry… I’ll tell Johnny-san. You can go!” Daiki instructed which made Ryutaro almost jump for joy… “Have fun!” he waved at the younger boy who’s now busy thinking about his plans whilst running through the narrow corridor.

Ryutaro checked the balance of his savings account and just hope he had enough money for his preparations. He then looked for a toy store and started picking out some stuff he needed - LOTS OF TEDDY BEARS.
It took him almost 3 hours just to choose all the teddy bears he wanted to give to Mizuki. He picked out about 81 little bears and 3 massive bears with the sign “I Love You” embedded on their tummy.
By this, Ryutaro smiled and just imagined how his soon to be girl will react. “Yappari~ I’ve grown up after all…”

A few hours later, Ryutaro reached the orphanage and looked for signs of Mizuki. However, he found none. He then showed himself to the children who are enthusiastic enough to tackle him to the ground.
“Nii-chan! You’re back!!” they all shouted and hugged him tightly.
“Hai… I promised I will, right? I missed you all” he said whilst patting each of them in the head… “Where’s Mizuki?” he asked almost immediately.
“She’d gone to the super market to buy some food… Ahh~ nii-chan, I don’t think you can show your face to Mizuki nee-chan again. She might kill you for leaving her”
By this, Ryutaro gulped multiple times. He was so excited to see her and didn’t even think what response the latter will give. He knows for a fact that Mizuki now hates his guts. However, he’s willing to lose everything, even his life to make Mizuki forgive him.
“Minna~ I need your help. I want Mizuki to forgive me and I’ll confess again”
“We’re willing to help nii-chan… but how are you gonna do it?”

Ryutaro firstly gathered up all the children and asked for their help. He each assigned every one of them to a group and each group will do a particular task. One for the decorations, one for the banner, one for getting Mizuki ready and most especially, one group assigned for the smaller children.
“Kawaii nii-chan… So many teddy bears. Mizuki nee-chan will love these.”

After all the preparations done, Mizuki came through the door from her shopping and was taken aback from the sudden commotion happening between the children. She actually expected the children to be very noisy at this time of the day… but instead, all the children smiled innocently at her as if knowing something she doesn’t. Hence, one of the oldest children entered and just grabbed Mizuki’s hand into the designated room.
“Wait~ what’s going on? It seems… quiet?” Mizuki questioned, with somehow weird feeling.
“Never mind that nee-chan… I need to show you something.” The little boy said then signalled to the other children. The little boy then placed a cloth on Mizuki’s eyes and covered then before revealing the perfectly designed room intended just for her.

Mizuki opened her eyes slowly after releasing the cloth covering her eyes. She then blinked twice trying to process the scene they had given before her sight.
She looked around only to see more teddy bears arranged side by side each other. It’s not long when she saw 3 teddy bears in the middle with the words “I love you” on each. One of them actually looks like the teddy bear costume Ryutaro wears every day.
Soon, a person wearing a mascot appeared before her. The same mascot Ryutaro wears when he was still there.
“Dare?” Mizuki mouthed… “What’s going on here?”
Without an answer, the mascot just gave her a piece of paper with the word “Yes” printed on the side and “No” on the other side.
Then, he signalled to the children which made them pull out a very big banner they designed themselves earlier this afternoon...

Misuki just can’t help but to smile and looked at the cute children smiling at her. She then turned her gaze to the teddy bear mascot and took his head off that revealed Ryutaro’s face.
"You jerk! Do you really think this is going to work?" she said while wiping off the tears that is voluntarily coming out of her eyes.
By this, Ryutaro just guiltily looked at her with weary eyes as he knows for himself that what he'd done shattered Mizuki into pieces.
“If I answer Yes, will you promise me that you'll never leave me again like that?” she said which made Ryutaro's eyes locked on her direction.
"I promise..."
"Then YES!" she said with the widest smile then placed a soft kiss on Ryutaro's. Ryutaro responded by pulling her face closer and can't imagine how he longed for this moment to happen. This made all the children cheer for them and had gone their way to hug the couple and tackle them both to the floor.

"I'll kill you if you leave me again Teddy-san..."
"I'll probably kill myself first if I do that..." he replied then placed another peck on Mizuki's lips along with the idea of introducing his new girlfriend to all the Jump members first thing tomorrow at work.

“Well done on your solo performance on Shokura today Ryuu” Daiki patted the younger boy’s back and smiled in return.
“Thanks… But do you think Johnny-san will let me take a day off today? I want to see Mizuki”
“Ehh? Hmmm… Mizuki? Ahh~ she’s the one you mentioned when you came back?” Daiki replied.
“Yeah… I haven’t seen him for almost half a year now. I miss her” he said with quite weary eyes.
Seeing this, Daiki just patted his shoulder once again and just can’t help but to think how Ryutaro turned into a more mature being after his punishment a few months ago.
“Don’t worry… I’ll tell Johnny-san. You can go!” Daiki instructed which made Ryutaro almost jump for joy… “Have fun!” he waved at the younger boy who’s now busy thinking about his plans whilst running through the narrow corridor.

Ryutaro checked the balance of his savings account and just hope he had enough money for his preparations. He then looked for a toy store and started picking out some stuff he needed - LOTS OF TEDDY BEARS.
It took him almost 3 hours just to choose all the teddy bears he wanted to give to Mizuki. He picked out about 81 little bears and 3 massive bears with the sign “I Love You” embedded on their tummy.
By this, Ryutaro smiled and just imagined how his soon to be girl will react. “Yappari~ I’ve grown up after all…”

A few hours later, Ryutaro reached the orphanage and looked for signs of Mizuki. However, he found none. He then showed himself to the children who are enthusiastic enough to tackle him to the ground.
“Nii-chan! You’re back!!” they all shouted and hugged him tightly.
“Hai… I promised I will, right? I missed you all” he said whilst patting each of them in the head… “Where’s Mizuki?” he asked almost immediately.
“She’d gone to the super market to buy some food… Ahh~ nii-chan, I don’t think you can show your face to Mizuki nee-chan again. She might kill you for leaving her”
By this, Ryutaro gulped multiple times. He was so excited to see her and didn’t even think what response the latter will give. He knows for a fact that Mizuki now hates his guts. However, he’s willing to lose everything, even his life to make Mizuki forgive him.
“Minna~ I need your help. I want Mizuki to forgive me and I’ll confess again”
“We’re willing to help nii-chan… but how are you gonna do it?”

Ryutaro firstly gathered up all the children and asked for their help. He each assigned every one of them to a group and each group will do a particular task. One for the decorations, one for the banner, one for getting Mizuki ready and most especially, one group assigned for the smaller children.
“Kawaii nii-chan… So many teddy bears. Mizuki nee-chan will love these.”

After all the preparations done, Mizuki came through the door from her shopping and was taken aback from the sudden commotion happening between the children. She actually expected the children to be very noisy at this time of the day… but instead, all the children smiled innocently at her as if knowing something she doesn’t. Hence, one of the oldest children entered and just grabbed Mizuki’s hand into the designated room.
“Wait~ what’s going on? It seems… quiet?” Mizuki questioned, with somehow weird feeling.
“Never mind that nee-chan… I need to show you something.” The little boy said then signalled to the other children. The little boy then placed a cloth on Mizuki’s eyes and covered then before revealing the perfectly designed room intended just for her.

Mizuki opened her eyes slowly after releasing the cloth covering her eyes. She then blinked twice trying to process the scene they had given before her sight.
She looked around only to see more teddy bears arranged side by side each other. It’s not long when she saw 3 teddy bears in the middle with the words “I love you” on each. One of them actually looks like the teddy bear costume Ryutaro wears every day.
Soon, a person wearing a mascot appeared before her. The same mascot Ryutaro wears when he was still there.
“Dare?” Mizuki mouthed… “What’s going on here?”
Without an answer, the mascot just gave her a piece of paper with the word “Yes” printed on the side and “No” on the other side.
Then, he signalled to the children which made them pull out a very big banner they designed themselves earlier this afternoon...

Misuki just can’t help but to smile and looked at the cute children smiling at her. She then turned her gaze to the teddy bear mascot and took his head off that revealed Ryutaro’s face.
"You jerk! Do you really think this is going to work?" she said while wiping off the tears that is voluntarily coming out of her eyes.
By this, Ryutaro just guiltily looked at her with weary eyes as he knows for himself that what he'd done shattered Mizuki into pieces.
“If I answer Yes, will you promise me that you'll never leave me again like that?” she said which made Ryutaro's eyes locked on her direction.
"I promise..."
"Then YES!" she said with the widest smile then placed a soft kiss on Ryutaro's. Ryutaro responded by pulling her face closer and can't imagine how he longed for this moment to happen. This made all the children cheer for them and had gone their way to hug the couple and tackle them both to the floor.

"I'll kill you if you leave me again Teddy-san..."
"I'll probably kill myself first if I do that..." he replied then placed another peck on Mizuki's lips along with the idea of introducing his new girlfriend to all the Jump members first thing tomorrow at work.
