This year's Pioneer Run went ahead after all; the snow, ice and generally freezing conditions didn't put off the kind of rider whose motorbike is over a hundred years old though.
We cheered them on from outside our local pub, who not only opened early for the event but even went the extra mile for a Dutch rider whose motorbike was suffering from thick oil due to the cold.
