Wow! That is absolutely breathtaking! I'd love to be there.

Rode past it again yesterday; thing is, poppies only last a brief time, seems I seized just the right moment. Still impressive, even fading.

The local hills change in moments this time of year; today (or was it yesterday?) the breathtakers were blue flax and yellow oilseed.

And very green all year around!

It's just like the ocean. Ever changing, but always seeming to be beautiful.

I'm so jealous of the weather - here it just gets bitterly cold, and of course green turns into brown with death, and then white with snow.

Always quite the cycle out here.

How are things up your way?

I guess, what it is about British weather is, is it rarely gets extreme, it rarely gets predictable. Rarely that bad, rarely that good.

And you're talking like it's the end of summer already.

I'm happy grabbing these moments, these few months in the sun.

I've been talking like it's the end of summer already because it's been raining for about a month straight. Pretty depressing, since it is summertime. As of last week though, when I came back from California, the sun finally came out. I like to think it was because I brought it back with me, haha.

Nights are getting shorter now, we're past mid-year and that makes me feel summer is on the downslope.

If you brought the CA sun back with you, does that mean it's raining there now?

Lol if it was, it's stopped now and came back to Maine. The weather here has been very dreary, although it does seem to be improving slighty - thundershowers instead of just straight rain. It's a nice mix haha.

I wish that it was a better summer though. I'm not too keen on all this rain.
