Funnily enough there was a story about a guy in the paper I read earlier sbout a guy who tried it (oneway I think) but didn't make it due to fog, wet grass, getting abit lost and hitting a badger!
Now you can have a nap.

That report in the paper must have been Ian Butler! He was going for the double as well, tried it two weeks ago, but only managed 23h 1m. It wasn't the badger that slowed him down, he got 8 punctures and strayed off the route a tad - unlucky! He and a couple of others have the potential to do it faster than me, it's one of those challenges where it's a case of slotting all the pieces together.
My closest badger on this run was about 3 feet, came a lot closer to that to a stag with huge antlers (I've hit both deer and badgers before). Only thing I actually collided with was what I thought was an owl, but pipistrelle called and suggested it could have been a nightjar.

I'm really proud that you did that! It takes a lot to do that!

Scary bit is I set myself up for it, made sure people would know if I failed, just to make me try harder.
Yet I made it.
Maybe I didn't set a hard enough target.

But I guess next time, you'll make it a little harder for yourself. I wish you luck for next time!
