hey folks. i suppose i will do a little recap on the little road trip that went down friday morning

..and when i say morning i mean early morning. we left the house at 6am..took about 4 1/2 hours to arrive in burbank, stopping once for gas and a short bathroom break. upon arriving close to 11 we drove straight to the nbc studio to take our place as numbers 9,10,and 11 in line. people starting filtering in in large swarms around 1, waited in line for a total of close to 3 hours and then the first thirty of us waited in the lobby room before actually being escorted into the studio where the tonight show with jay leno is taped. we got great seats and could feel the buzz of excitement all around us as we waited for jay to come out and go over some "rules" to follow like not shouting out anything when the guests come out (although people didnt and hardly ever listen to this one) and clapping and cheering more than you might think is necessary. he was so funny though even before the cameras were recording him, fast wit..i love humor. then after all the guests had appeared it was time for us to go to the outdoor concert to watch avril lavigne perform, and i sang along too. (oh and when we watched the show that night in the hotel, my brothers and i could each see ourselves on tv! not in the actual studio taped part of the show, but during the concert, there were actually a few shots of us from the back. woot woot.i was on tv!!!)

afterwards we drove to our hotel, the hilton, to check in. sean noticed this familiar looking guy checking in right in front of us..turns out the guy is judah freidlander.. for all you meet the parents lovers out there, judah was the guy working the convenience store in the movie who, when asked by ben stiller's character for the most expensive bottle of wine, told him he could "buy a whole lot of mum's"..yeahhh we saw that guy and chatted with him for awhile. nice guy.

went to the city walk for dinner and to browse and check out the nightlife. that place was hoppin, it reminded me of a very condensed las vegas just because of all the people and all the lights along the street. there was even an outdoor band playing pulling all the tourists in.

here i am (sean is to the left of me) while walking in the city walk.

this pictures a keeper, ohhh yeahhh. i was yawning in this picture because i took it at 5:30am before heading out of the house.

the boys sleeping in the back.

we love to make weird faces at each other.

i was wondering where all the cookies went!! i found the culprit!

view from the 20th floor of our hotel room. you could see universal studios and the city walk beautifully.

another view out the hotel window.

walking out to the city walk.

walking across the bridge getting to the city walk. we're such tourists, we are.

hard rock. every city needs one. =P

at dinner at karl strauss brewing company. dont worry, i ordered a sprite and water.

tim ordered this drink special where its a sampling of all these various assortments of beers and it tells you about each one on the lamanated card.

"did you throw this at me??"

you should have seen the way our topher grace look-a-like waiter looked at us like we were all crazy when he came to our table to pick up our leftovers and this face made of food scraps sean cooked up.

i brought my harry along for the ride and have since finished the second book and am patiently awaiting until i can read the third!
