Ciao livejournal!!! Stato a Firenze per due settimane, é molto bello qui ma é troppo caldo, come hell!!! Io parlo italiano tutti i giorni e bevo il vino e anche la Birra Moretti, mi piace di più!!!
Anywhoo, the time change sucks (sete ore dopo) but vacation is pretty cool overall. I also like the eurodollar, it's kind of like using Monopoly money for everything, all the bills are different sizes and colors and there are pretty holograms on all of them! The italians love disco music, and Let's Dance by David Bowie was number three on their mtv top countdown ha ha ha ha ha. The man who lives in the apartment next to us sings every night and he sounds like this "...and I'ma hungary likkea de wuuuulf!!!!!" or like this "I'vea beeen spendin my liiiiife ina gaaangsters parradiiiiiiiiise" and it's pretty funny. Let's see what else... when I was visiting my family in Bassano I went out to the bars (per bere qualcosa) with my cousin Giulia and we were bere-ing some birre with her friends and mostly speaking Italian but a couple of her friends spoke a little english and one of them was like, "I speak english! Goooddamn! Bleow job!" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha que horror. All the famous museums in Florence are overcrowded, like the Academia and the Uffizi, but the really really good museums are like, bone dry, there is NO ONE there. Yesterday we went to the Bargello sculpture museum and we practically had it all to ourselves, and saw this which was my favorito by Donatello and makes strong statements for art and love:
Let's see what else..... I'm glad I brought deodorant, I love speaking Italian, I love shopping and Il Bisonte and Mandarina Duck and I love i cibi da Firenze and blah blah blah. However, I hate the time change and I hate not being able to sleep properly and this morning I am groggy because I took too many sleeping pills last night. But I wouldn't have been able to sleep...Italy won their semifinal for the soccer thing and everyone was like YEAAAH HIGH FIVE BRAH! something like that ha ha ha. I can't wait for the final, I hope Italy wins!!! I have seven mosquito bites on my legs and did not bring any mosquito ointment so I will have to buy some today oooh a girl with a cool tattoo just walked by. ALSO: the first grown-up in my family told me they liked my tattoo last weekend, two thumbs up for that! It was my mother's cousin Maria Luisa, I like her earrings. Hmmm what else.
I miss my friends and I really really really miss that whole b.c. thing.....it's been almost one week now. One week. Aye de mi dios mio. Europeans have funny outlets, they're just three holes next to each other, and their keyboards are different and the symbols are in different places and it is oh so confusing! Also, they sell Bacardi Breezers on like, every corner... what? Yeah I hate it when people order me bitch drinks...funny story. Ha ha ha ha ha.
Mmmmm what else..... that is basically all I can think of right now. My uncle David left this morning and we're all really really sad because he is so much fun and not at all annoying. I miss my alone time but living in a sweet apartment with five other people is not as bad as living in the DP cd-roms. I wish Luigi could've come with me, I miss him. Oh so much. =/ man these keyboards are hard to use I'm typing at like negative brazilion wpm heyzeus christo.
Anyway! I'm coming back on the 17th and then I go straight to work at D47 again, oh woe woe woe betide me.
