Please note the following homonym distinction--
taut abs are tense, tight, and probably sexually appealing
taught abs may or may not have finished high school, depending on the quality of the education

Dear TV and film writers:
The mathematician Euler was indeed brilliant, and Euler's Theorem is a paragon of complex anaylsis. But you pronounce his last name "Oiler," not "Yoo-ler." Get it right or quit attempting to drop it into the mouths of your "smart characters." Either is fine, and if you're looking for a more pronounceable mathematician, might I suggest Richard Dedekind, who gifted us with the modern definition of number.
