have a voice

.....this is such an important election year. and iii alllways said i hated politics, but now that i realize things, there’s so much more than it just being politics. it's my life that i live with every day, and if i have a chance to change that or keep it the same, i sure as hell will, and there’s no reason people who have that same opportunity shouldn't. people our age need to grow up and realize they cant just do whatever the hell they want and act like things don’t concern them, because i guarantee if you think that, i could prove you wrong. there is at least one thing that you care about.

i know there are some people reading this who probably are rolling their eyes and scowling. why? because you are sick of people saying this about you? then damnit! do something so you don't have to hear it anymore!

if you're at least 18:
-be knowledgeable of WHAT/WHO you are voting for and WHY

if you think you can't do this because you don't understand things, such as topics, or even terms used...ASK! ask somebody who knows! or read! i don't understand topics and definitly not a lot of terms! however the more i follow along, the more i understand, and i ask people when i don't.

so you say "i don't care what's going on", "i hate politics",

...seriously? shut the fuck up.
if you are THAT ignorant to actually say you do NOT care that there are people fighting FOR YOU, killing people, having enough bravery to put themselves in the position where they can be killed, then go to france. no, i do not agree with any wars...some maybe i could see/give more reason to...however at least right now, no, i do not have that reasoning. SO since i do not like that "government decision" there is a reason to vote (speaking in terms of presidents~some are for/some are not).

other issues you say you "do not care about":
-gay marriage
-abortion
-college tuition
-education issues
-medical
-the welfare of OUR OWN country
-immigrants/migrant workers

young people are very much thought of as dim-witted and ignorant~especially on these kinds of issues. have a voice. get over yourself and realize the big picture. yes, that one extra vote/voice/opinion matters. take a lead. take a stand. if this is all still too much to ask, then lastly; don't sit there and cry about what's going on when you did nothing to stop it.
