ok alot happend yesterday so im stealing a bunch of daves lj entry with a few changes to make it in my veiw because he was with me most of the day.
ok on monday i got up and had a feeling that the day was gona be crazy. I got dressed and drove up to daves house.
THis is parts from his journal that i changed around:
kevin hay drove up to my house from brick and mike met up here too and we decided that we would hitch a ride with ska mom and shannon to the catch dvd filming in long island. so they tell us to meet them at the peter pank diner... and we're off... we get a little sidetracked and take what was supposed to be a u-turn on rt. 9... but really just lead us to the parking lot of this indian restaurant haha. so we finally make it to the pank and we jump on in and get going.
so i say.. you guys know how to get there right? and ska mom turns around and says.. "no.. but SOMEONE was supposed to get directions (pointing at mike)" so he calls up his twin brother, eric. now.. if u know mike.. his brother is a big douche haha. so eric takes about 20 minutes to read the directions to mike and trys to throw in his own variations until we get fed up and hang up.
so it took us about 2 and a half hours to get there, but the ride up was awesome and filled with many random "LJ worthy" quotes including:
-"we can make stickies of everything" -mike
-(kevin looking out the window) ...theres a guy with a mohawk riding a horse
-"nobody touches tweek's hotdogs" -mike
-"wears boys jeans you faggot!" -ska mom
-(out of nowhere) "...i want a hamburger" -kevin
-kevin: why can't you do it yourself
mike: i'm a jew i can't even plug in the vcr
so we get there and the high school football heros saved us 5 tickets... otherwise the show was sold out. inside the place was a pretty nice venue... but NY kids are about 2 years behind NJ kids in the pits. they still do the whole "joke pit" thing where everyone stands around and some kid runs in a does something stupid and his friends laugh and noone actually dances. so we got in there and took charge. HSFH were awesome again and their merch girl recognized me from friday. i really like them. then punchline and bayside came on and all the "hardcore" kids came out. they basically had a big open pit and a kid would run in and do a half-assed spinkick or floorpunch or gorilla and just walk out... not a single kid knew how to two-step... except this one cool little kid in a bane shirt. so we tried to teach everyone and a few kids caught on and tried.
there was also this kid in a shirt and tie and hat who was the leader of the joke kids... and he didnt even dance at all.. he kept yelling shit at punchline and giving them the finger.. so finally I said "have some respect for the band. im sure the band youve been talking about that youre in would have kids like you flipping them off and screaming shit at them too.. and youre not even big yet so have some respect." at that point.. the kid almost cried and apologized and we didnt really see him the rest of the night... but it looked like he was plotting against me with his friends. " it was funny because he wouldnt come near my pit again"
anyway the show was good cuz catch actually had to play well for their dvd so no more sloppy fast shit playing. there was this little asian kid in the pit and he was one of the only kids who could actually dance. what a champion. Him and his friends were so awesome dave and i also got to spend some more time with shayne... while her boyfriend watched from afar haha. whatever it was fun . I got her "shayne" necklace at the end of the show too.... . she is awesome and she made me happy. oh yeah and some cop made her boyfriend pick up a bottle cap he threw on the ground outside of 7-11 hahaha.
so the ride home we end up getting lost and the video crew from the show pulls up next to us and tells us to follow them.. they also told us that they have a lot of footage of me and dave in the pit.. so we're gonna be on the dvd! we end up losing them and taking a turn into the middle of nyc on 6th avenue. we also passed a sign for a place called "pocket billiards".... hahaha dirty signs. we ask some cops for directions and they help us out. so we get back on track and make it back to the pank where daves car was. on the way back though, the grease trucks come up in conversation and I had no idea what they are... so we decide to go. driving back through sayreville we stop at the dwarkhadish temple and took pictures. then we get back on track andwent to the trucks. all they had left were fat bitches and no more sub rolls.. only pitas.. but it was so good anyway.
I saw eric from last picked at this place. and i also saw some girls that remmemberd me from kidgohome and some more people that remmeberd me from shows. I realy love when i see people that still remmember me. after the trucks we went to daves house and i drove home. It was down pooring so the drive home sucked and i didnt get home till 345 and i had work all day today. now im going to sleep
