You know that you are getting old when things that were the end of the world when you were a child are now cool.
Here is my real life example from today...
I couldn't get my contacts in this morning so today and for the first time in 15 years I left the house in glasses. Once I adjusted to the lack of depth perception and minimal areas through which I actually had good vision I was feeling pretty anxious. I think that I was subconsciously awaiting the four-eyes jokes and mean name calling that I so vividly remember from my childhood. Instead I got compliments... ???? Apparently I am pretty cool in my glasses and all of my co-workers quite liked them...
Go figure... I was feeling pretty upbeat about the whole glasses situation until I realized that I was officially old... Now I am depressed again... Damn Glasses!!!
