I went to Beaverton yesterday for the first time. I haven't actually set a step outside of Portland in three years which is so weird. I have that book, Portland City Walks, and I've exhausted all the east side ones. I couldn't get over how quiet it was away from the main streets. It reminded me of the more likeable areas of Orange County, like Fullerton. People look different outside of Portland.
