OH my word what a day!
I was feeling better this morning when i woke up, as i was really upset yesterday due to the untimely death of Laura Shutt on Monday morning. Thankyou to Sean, Kay, Jane, Jenni, Rachel and Maddie for being so supportive and such great mates yesterday, i dont know what i'd do if i didnt have such great pals like u lot!
I also had the added bonus of the excitement of the university of Liverpool's open day. Tres bien. Day started off rather well, went to a fair in the guild or the place with the unsticky floor in the daytime as Mr McCormack put it (more than once - bless his little musical socks!) Then it was off to geography, a subject and a place that i knew rather a lot about if i do say so myself - only due to the fact that my family tend to copy each other with geography being their chosen subject. Yep so John Boyle seems like a nice man when he was talking about glaciers and stuff. It got even better, and for a split second i considered taking geography (ssshhhh!) when Mr Boyle said that you got to go to California and study wine! wowzer! that would be my ideal subject if it wasnt for the rest of it. (Im not a wino by the way contrary to most people's opinions - that includes you sean!)
Then we got to the good part - English! yey! It was so nice to speak to people that had a real passion and a real love of their subject. I was really really impressed, they were so nice and friendly and helpful and i wanna go there so much! (not because the lecturer was fit as sean would lead people to believe although he wasnt a minger or anything- dont get me wrong)Ive gotta get reading if i want to do that which i really really do. But then there is French, the subject who is like my mistress, a language i have desired to learn since the age of four, can i possibly abandon it for my mother tongue? Or then again i could have the best of both worlds and combine the two, but then would i miss out on the good bits from both courses? Oh its a worry.
French department was really good too! Its like the 5th best in Britain and rd in England behind Oxford and Durham, which is good enough for me! The lecturer was so funny, really disorganised- like me and fumbled her words a few times. Don't think i didnt notice when she made the simple yet hilarious mistake of talking about naked people rather than native people sean suddenly woke up! wonder why?!
Saw some more stuff that Sean was interested in like old stuff. i thought it was the mummy of a really small person, but it was the mummy of a cat! a cat! a dead really old cat! madness! why would u mummyfy a cat when a dog is a man's best friend? those egyptians are just beyond me. wierdos!
mmmm. had that chicken blt baguette for my dinner today from burger king. c' etait delicieux! saw very few shoes tho as sean is not yet trained in the delights and the elation that one receives through the medium of footwear.
Good day tho. Only 18 months before Hayley Bailey bursts on to Liverpool's student scene! yey!
