Graham's first week ...

Finally I am up to updating all this for you. It's long, but it gives you an idea what we got up to.

I should start from the beginning. Tuesday Dec 13 should have been the day my Christmas started officially - Graham would get to England and we’d just spend time together and see the sights of Lancaster. Life doesn’t work out like that though. Firstly, Graham’s flight was an hour late (how rude!) and then I managed to increase our journey time back to Lancs by an hour by getting off at the wrong stop!

Graham crashed out and I had to dash onto campus to water my plants and then go and tutor this lass in town. Walking back, I took a wrong turn and ended up walking through a field in the pitch dark to get home (I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t have bothered getting up that day). Woke Graham up and fed him - the poor bugger hadn’t slept for a day! Then we both went to bed. And that was Tuesday.

The rest of the week wasn’t much better - spent Wednesday at work while Graham recovered from jetlag and then Thursday I panicked over the work I hadn’t done, got it in with ten minutes to spare! Spent the rest of the afternoon doing study stuff. Friday sucked too and I almost managed to bore Graham to death as we finished the data collection for my project (well, almost, I still had to do 2h on Sat morning).

Had some good times though. Had curry at Joo’s place on Thurs night, went out to the Sugarhouse for Rockscene, although the music wasn’t that great. Friday night we chilled at Joo’s - I gave her the black and red stripy scarf I had knitted for her and she loved it. Graham went out with Joo while I went home to sleep as I had to be up early the next day,

I’ve been so frazzled that by Sat it was ridiculous. I couldn’t handle stress very well at all! It was a bit hairy getting to the station on time, but we managed it. Then off to EJ’s - yay! EJ and I drank real ale all night and watched Strictly Come Dancing - boy that was bad. Graham slept. Maybe it was because of the shot of 75.5% alcohol we’d each had?

Sunday took us back home and that was a bit of a disaster. I managed to have a fight with my parents within just a couple of hours (geeeeeenius!), so things got off to a cracking start. Then we went to London on Monday morning. And things got better …
