(no subject)
so what a weekend... confirmation retreat on friday, which was cool. left at 1:30 for KC for the world cup trials with my mom. we get to Milwaukee and our flight is delayed, so okay. whatever, we wait. so we get on teh plane and we sit, and we sit. and we sit and sit, FOR TWO HOURS on the run way because nothign is going in or out of chicago. so finally we go, and we get there AT 9;30 , OUR FLIGHT TO KC LEFT AT 7:30!!!! we were like, alright we'll take the next flight.. WHICH DOESN'T LEAVE TILL 10:00 THE NEXT DAY. my race was at 9am... so my wonderful, god bless her, mother. rents a car and drives through the night to KC and i make it to my race :40 min. before it starts. it all goes well, i place 2nd, I make the world cup team. get to go to Germany for a week, all expenses paid, EXCECPT MY MEDICATION stuff was DENIED. so (oh i had to get drug tested, which took 2 fricken hours, cuz i was dehydrated and couldn't pee)if my drug test shows my MEDs, i don't get to go. Well one can only hope. but let me tell you it was GOD. i had about 4 hours of sleep, a half hour to warm up and stress up the wazoo, and i place 2nd, plus qualify for a race in Italy this summer. GOD ROCKS!!!
--oh and some racewalking dudes have made a scandel out of my last race, saying that i could never walk that fast. well it's really funny.
