I agree with you on that one... I don't really understand why people have to discredit something just because the people don't have the same ethnic background.
"Tsotsi" and "City of God" are both awesome movies without any white americans in them, aside from the token white kid in "City of God" who has an addiction to blow. If that isn't a peaceful interpretation of white folks... And I still loved it.
well, Gene Roddenberry did want to create a happy future in both the original series and next gen, and it wasn't until he died when they started getting darker (when they introduced the Borg). Star Wars is more gritty, but more realistic in that sense.
