Five days until the biggest test of my life (and then 2.5 weeks until the oral part of the scariest test of my life). I don't feel ready- at all, even though I've been studying for about 2 months. I'm going to spend next week at my parent's house (Sunday through the next Sunday). It's going to be very lonely. Although I get to hang with my parents a little, I guess, so that's a plus. I might be open to some visitors at some point (I feel like I'm going to the hospital or something)... In fact, I'm missing human contact a whole lot right now. I get to talk to Corey and Katrina a few minutes a day and... that's pretty much it (although I like talking to Katrina and Corey).
Question: how old do I look to you guys? When people say 'hi' to me in passing, I always wonder whether they think I'm an undergraduate or a graduate student.
Other things: Billy mentioned this in his post, but I just wanted to say that I'm sad that Robert Jordan passed away. I've been reading his books since I was 11 (I was always drawn the biggest books, and I picked up The Eye of the World at the library because it was a very large book), and, even though they got to be a tedious read, they were a part of my childhood that I took into adulthood, so they meant a lot to me. I didn't even realize that anyone else in the freaking world read the books until I met Joe and Jon, both of whom had read them. Apparently lots of people read them- who knew? I even went to see Robert Jordan at Joseph Beth twice when he came to talk (he was a very odd man). Anyways, I hope that the series that he started will eventually be finished, because man would it be a shame if readers don't know the outcome.
Also, 30 Rock the Emmy for Best Comedy last week. While 30 Rock doesn't have my heart like The Office does, it still makes me happy that they won. It's a really funny show.
I can't wait to get back to some semblance of a life :).
