I hate AOHELL

AOL has to be the worst company in the world. They offer absolutely crap internet speeds, internet programs and customer service.

Why o why did I get into a contract with AOL?! Grrr!

Today I contacted them to request an upgrade to my broadband speed from 512kb to 1mb because that is what's being offered to new customers on their "silver" tariff. First of all the person, I think it was a person? It could of been a trainee monkey for all I know? explained that my line didn't support 1mb - I had advised in my very first question that before moving from NTL to AOL I had the 1mb service with them and that I knew my line supported it.

The person then asked me to go through my settings and asked what speed I was on. I advised. Then the person said I was already getting 1mb but was only connected at 512kb (if that)........ after almost 20mins of going around in circles I just got so angry I asked "how long do I have left in my contract?" - they said and I advised them to put a note on to say 'I WILL BE CANCELLING' at the end of it and 'DO NOT EVEN TRY AND SAVE ME AS A CUSTOMER'.

..... The person sent me a few emails which he/she thought would help get me more speed. Tried them and they did feck all. I just said thanks for the mails and take care. I'm always far to nice for my own good. The person then had the cheek to try and upsell me fucking AOLTALK. I was absolutely furious.

By this point I just closed the window and went back to my day. If anyone who read's this know's of ANY way I can get out of my AOL contract - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how?! I'd go back to dial up if it meant I got a good service! lol
