As mentioned in the previous blog post, I've been messing around with the idea of moving back to Wordpress. I went forward with downloading my Blogger content and uploading them over there, and so far, everything seems to be coming along well.
At the moment I only have a free account but will be upgrading to a paid one. So for the time being, I'm afraid you'll all be putting up with ads here and there, which I absolutely HATE. But it wouldn't be free without them, yes? Yes.
So this is my possible new home. Once I get a paid account, the URL will be a unique domain name, but I'm not going back to the usual Hayden Thorne dot whatever when it happens. Haunted Lourdes will be my new domain name in case I decide to test the waters with more mainstream stuff.
And as I'm still settling down over there, the appearance will be changing throughout the day or even the weekend.
UPDATE:
Okay so just when I was ready to give up on Blogger, I see that this site is NOW showing up on the first page of a Google search. Not at the top of the page, mind you, but still on the first page all the same.
How did that take? Close to a year, I think, with weekly updates?
That throws a wrench into things in a way, but at the same time, I'm keeping my options open as I understand that Wordpress at least is top of the line when it comes to support and updates.
So yes - I'm holding on to both sites for now till I figure out which will benefit me the most in the long run.
