When the time comes
To fly from your nest
As a bird must to gain new wings
What will I do when you fly too
And join the flocks over swaying years
And discover new eyes?
Or old eyes
What if you stay in your birth place
And entwine with the one you flew with
In the years
When feathers grew in
And you found new wing
In new drafts?
To see you kiss her
Kiss that faceless competitor
The same as I
Would wound more than
A thousand knives
You're form once mine
Now hers for time
How will I forget you when I watch you in motion
How can I release without jealousy?
How can I let you go at all
Just please don't ever forget me
