Very Calvinesque ending.XD
boy, the snow dungeon was annoying. The Ball and Chain are useful, but it's so cumbersome to walk around with. It's funny to see how Link waddles around when it's equipped, but he can put it away swiftly under his shield (I swear he's got a portable Hammerspace on his back) and suddenly is all "YAY I CAN MOVE AGAIN".
I made it through the Sacred Grove - which I thought would be an epic Forest Dungeon, but it turned out to be a clone of the earlier Master Sword chase (YARGH. Repeating footage is not fair, Nintendo!). And now the Temple of Time is the actual dungeon. But it takes place in the past. WHAT. Also, flying Cuccoo Airways made me appreciate Midna for the first time. and she's suddenly had a 180° attitude change... I think Zelda is definitely possessing herXD
something else occurred to me, since Skyward Sword is officially the "first" Zelda story, with the "original" Link and Zelda,
and it ends with Zelda and Link establishing Hyrule on the surface world (and presumably being responsible for, um, producing;) a good number of the ancestors of the current population).
Therefore there's a very good chance that every Link and Zelda - no matter whether they are royalty (Zelda), Hyrule Knight or random country boy (Link) - has the actual bloodline of the original Link and Zelda in them.
It's fairly clear that every Link and Zelda has been the reincarnation of the original Link and Zelda/Hylia (though it gets a bit tricky when it comes to Tetra/Spirit Tracks Zelda, since both of them were alive at the same time but .... Hylia is a goddess after allXD), but there's often reference to Link having the blood of the Hero, though he usually starts out as a commoner (obviously each Zelda has the blood of prior Zeldas by virtue of her royal lineage).
How Link and Zelda could both be blood descendants without being directly related to each other has always been a puzzlement, and the fact that each game Zelda* did not have a Link (or even a "Hero") as her father has always been the argument against Zelda and Link officially pairing up,but now here comes SS which seems to clear this up entirely. (note: each game Zelda. Presumably there were long eras of peace between each game in which there were princesses who continued to be named Zelda, but there was no need for a Hero, so the princesses married other guys and carried on the Zelda bloodline.)
There's actually even enough room in between games for the Link and Zelda of each game to hook up and produce another generation of offspring who then marry into the general population, spreading the bloodline with them. (Link's adventurer gene means that his descendants would be the type to venture into the great unknown and settle far from Hyrule, intermarrying into the local population, and carrying the bloodline of the hero and princess even further.XD) By the point of even Adventure of Link, every Link and Zelda would be far apart relation-wise enough for there not to be any inbreeding squick. And again, even though Tetra and Spirit Tracks Zelda existed at the same time, there is room in there for Link - as Tetra's consort - to be Zelda's grandfather.
Nice job Nintendo!
