CRAZY MONTH....
It's just been a crazy month so far and everything happening all at once I have yet to talk to anyone and tell the good news. So end of March, I went down to RI for 4 days a nice little mini vacation for me. My friend Jill was dog-house sitting for someone down in Newport RI and she invited me and one of her friends down. Last time I visited Newport was 2 years ago and I was sick with a bad sinus infection. I enjoyed getting away from the area, there had been so much stress going before my trip I noticed there were times I was being snippy and impatient. Of course Jill noticed this also, but good thing she didn't hold it against me. She knows I'm not like that and I try not to let things bother me especially on vacation, however there was so much negative stuff happening it did affect my additude a bit. I did apologies for my behavior.
Never the less, I had a blast and Newport is so lovely.....but it was freezing cold. I took over 700 pictures. I did make a quick stop in Falls River on the way down to RI to visit Lizzie Bordens grave and had to take some shots of me next to her marker. Some cute old man was walking around the cemetary with his dog taking pictures and decided to talk with me. I only planned to visit to cemetary for 20 minutes but ended up staying for over 2 hours most of time just sitting on Lizzie Borden's family plot talking with this old man. We mostly talked about nature photography, cameras and the towns we live in.
One good thing about my small vacation, I got to see Greg twice. Since he lived off the route I had to take to go to RI it would of been really stupid for me not to spend time with him since I was so very close to his place. I ended up staying the night before and the night after. I'm glad I got to spend that time with him. As soon as I got home my mother had some good news for us. Someone saw our condo and wanted to buy it. So we went out to go house hunting and at the end of the week we found a house and they accepted our offer. We saw this house over the summer time and it was selling for 365,000. When we took our relator to see the house they had just lowered it down to 309,000. We offered 290,000, they counter offered 300,000, we counter offered 295,000...and SOLD!!!! It's a steal for a 9 room house with almost an acre of land. By next monday we'll be signing papers and stepping into our new house. I won't miss our little condo.
I'm almost finished packing the place. I will say this....we have some AMAZING friends. Once we told people we were moving everyone we helped move this year be it friends, family, workers, neighbors, even people we didn't know at all but help them moved....everyone has been offering a hand to help us move. Just go to show you, do a nice deed for someone and they may do the same for you. I'm really touched but we decided its for the best to hire some professional movers since many of our pieces of furniture is extremely heavy and requires 4-5 people to carry. I can not ask a friend to try to lift something so heavy that they might hurt themselves in the process. However we do need help moving out of our storage binds during May-June so everyone has offered to help us with that. One friend is giving us a free washer and dryer brand new since she bought it for her daughter who ended up not needing it. So yay for that!!!!
