Submissions checklist updates
We now interrupt your regularly scheduled programming (possibly the most challenging egg hunt yet, am I right?) to let you all know about some updates to our submissions checklist.
Submitting to the queue can be a bit daunting, we know, so we wanted to provide authors with a checklist to follow that will hopefully help clear up confusion over what sorts of things the validators look for when they review submissions. We also tried to include links to sites that can be helpful when proofreading your stories.
We understand that it can be frustrating to have your submission returned with a request for corrections, but we try to make sure everyone feels comfortable submitting their stories while still upholding the standards that (we hope) make the reading experience better on H&V than on sites without dedicated validators or a queue.
If you ever have questions about corrections or anything to do with submissions, the queue, etc., please please don’t be shy about contacting one of the validators or admins through the PM system or the Help Desk. We really want to make sure that this community remains a welcoming place for authors and readers alike.
