Hi folks - I am so honored to have been chosen as the Featured Member for February! Thank you to everyone who voted for me. You really have given me such warm fuzzies. I feel like I've come a long way in a relatively short period of time, and I am glad to have had the chance to meet/chat/talk with/write for so many of you. May our relationship

I find it interesting that you unblock your muse by beta-ing. I feel like it would have the opposite effect for me. And I would very, *very* much love to read your dark!Dramione. Obviously, much-o respect-o to your stress levels, but yeah... Would definitely love to read that someday. ;)

I'm realizing that my Betaing-to-Unblock is an unusual trait. Heh. I always knew I was a little bit weird. I think it just give my obsessive brain something to grab hold of and wrestle with, which allows my creative brain to have some breathing room. :)
Dark!Dramione - Mwah haahaaaaaaa! You'd like to read it? Someday? Really? ;-D

The LHOTP fanfic was even a SMUTTY fanfic! All about their wedding night. WOO HOO!!!!
That's a good question about the beta work. I do find that I react differently depending on the, um, amount of corrections that are needed, shall we say. A polished author who just needs a few minor tweaks and suggestions gives my muse ideas and something to work towards. An author that needs more help keeps me honest about my own writing, and makes me want to get back to writing so I don't get rusty.
(edited because I got my commenters' comments mixed up! lol!)

I often wonder whether writing is just "in the blood" and I suspect that it is. I recently found a whole box of things I wrote from the age of about eight, through college. I'd guess you have a similar box - or two!
Beta work, for me, is a huge help for getting out of writing ruts.
Echoing some of the other comments, I'm surprised to hear this! Getting caught up in clauses, phrases and punctuation errors makes me cringe away from the idea of writing! Wish I had your inclination!
When ideas burble to the surface, I write them down, usually as a hasty note on my phone or in the notebook I keep beside the bed.
This is a great idea which I will steal, with your permission! ;) Do you get ideas in dreams? (That's where Covered came from for me.)
Would love to read your dark!Dramione story! The fluff and smut is great fun, but a good, meaty mystery/horror/dystopia story is something that truly committed readers love to sink their teeth into. Go for it!

Of course you may use the notebook-beside-the-bed idea, my dear. I'm sure I'm not the first one to do it. :-D I do get ideas in dreams - sometimes they are nutty as squirrel-poo. I write them down anyway. You just never know!
Thank you for the vote of confidence! Dark!Dramione will be a good challenge for me. It makes me very nervous to think about writing it. eek!
