Featured Author: July
Hello all! Thank you so much for nominating and voting me for featured author for July. I'm terrifically flattered to have this honor.
I've been in HP fandom for almost ten years now. I started later than some people, only getting interested when OOTP was published. I worked in a bookstore during the years the previous books came out, and couldn't quite understand the obsession people seemed to have. Then I read OOTP and I understood. XD And I never looked back.
I've been publishing fanfic for six, seven years now, and the vast majority of that time has been spent in the Draco/Hermione ship. I dabble in others from time to time, but this is my OTP and most intense love in shipping, so I never go a month without writing something for these two characters. The possibilities inherent in two such different people forming a relationship are just so wide-ranging that I think I'll never tire of them.
I'll freely admit to being a fluffy romantic when it comes to fanfic, and I think that a lot of my work shows that. I'm a firm believer in the Happily Ever After ending - if I don't give one, that's incredibly rare for me. XD I never say never to darker topics, though, and I'll poke at them from time to time. There's only a few subjects or themes I won't touch, but I'll always return to my happy endings. (And my smut. It's a blue moon when I write something more than a few hundred words that doesn't have desire, lust, and passion in it.)
I'm completely incapable of picking a favorite of my pieces, as that changes from week to week. From the variety of comments I get, it seems that I manage to provide something for almost everyone! My most popular pieces to date are:

(And doesn't that picture of Matthew and Mary just scream turn-of-the-century Draco/Hermione? I think it does.)
As you can see, I have about a half-dozen fics open, and there's another dozen that are dormant for a week or two while I think about them. XD As you can also see, the second fic on that list is Serpent's Strike, so I promise! I promise that the S&S series is still in progress.
I'm primarily on Dreamwidth these days at
musyc, though I still maintain a presence on LJ. I'm also on Twitter and on Tumblr, both on my personal account and my Dramione account. I'm on Archive of Our Own for all my fics, and of course I'm on H&V for my Dramione works. (Which I'm catching up to be current, slowly but surely. - Ardent Bonds, an exploration of control in submission, entering a D/s relationship
- Shelter and Sanctuary, which is currently (currently!) a "Voldemort Wins" AU, athree-part series comprising South of Stockholm, Secrecy's Rule, and Surrounded by Solitude
