I think I've already lost you, I think you're already gone...

Feb 19, 2007 22:20

6:00am.  The buzzing of the alarm not waking me for at least 30 seconds.  I hit the snooze and slowly roll out of bed.  I knew it would be a long day, not realizing the de-construction work I would be conducting in 3 hours.  The beginning of the school year was here, and I had only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before but I was still excited, after all it was welcome week 2006.  I headed to East Lansing not having seen my roomate Andrew in approximately 4 months, I knew we would be glad to see each other and reminisce on the 05-06 school year.  I had so much alcohol in the car that I'm sure it affected my gas mileage on the way down to EL, but I knew it would be worth it.

After arriving in EL I unloaded very little, knowing that the loft builders were coming around noon.  The room felt close to 100 degrees and I had to disassemble the pre-bunked beds so they could construct the lofts.  After slaving for hours getting those pieces of trash apart they came and assembled the lofts in the time it takes a fat man to shit.  I kept all my belongings in the car knowing that we would have to put the carpet in the next day.  The only things Andy and I needed that night was a fridge full of beer, and that's what we had.

Fast-forward a bit to welcome week 2006.  Some of the people I knew last year came over, drank alcohol, we went to a house party, came back, drank more, and then made out with some people.  Everyone was making out with everyone, I'm just glad no diseases were spread around (Andy wanted no part in this madness).  Fast-forward again a few days; Matt had 6 beers in his little tummy and I had 8 shots in my fat ass.  We hit up Grand River looking for a good time.  We found it (or at least I did).  We ended up stopping and talking to these three random girls at a frat who were sitting on a bench outside.  They got some booze, we already had booze, and I ended up making out with some girl on the trunk of a random car (romantic huh?).

Fast-forward.  First semester was going well, my SCUBA diving class was extremely interesting and I loved my Biology class and Psychology wasn't bad either.  Organic chem wasn't necessarily hard, but my professor sucked somewhat awful.  I started volunteering at Ingham Regional Medical Center in the Emergency Department.  I heard plenty of stories about professor Hussain, who Matt had for ISS 215 and I had last year for ISS 215 as well.  There were plenty of drunken nights here at MSU, and my birthday was no exception (except that it was in Mt. Pleasant).  Bekah and Megan showed up, and it was Andrew, Joe, Matt, and I partying it up at the casino.  We were all pretty drunk except for Matt.

Fast-forward.  Gibralter (you won't get it unless you were there).  Matt, Nic, Andrew, and I decided to travel to the outskirts of Detroit to go to a haunted house.  It was a good haunted house, especially because we were drinking tequila with limes in the backseat of my car right before we went in.  It was ghetto cutting the limes with a shitty cafeteria knife (lets just say the limes didn't turn out well but we were still able to utilize them for the intended purpose).

Fast-forward.  November and still no snow.  Thanksgiving was fun and I met most of Megan's family over break.

Fast-forward.  Christmas, snow... finally.  Oh wait, no.  Christmas was fun this year.  I didn't really ask for anything, so I applaude my mother for purchasing some nice things without a list.  I spent most of Christmas break slaving over a hot cash register at FYE but the $400 paycheck for one week was rewarding.  My parents got a room at the casino and ended up not going, so they let Megan, Shelby, Joe, and me stay in the room.  I passed out at 8:00pm I was so drunk, but at 10:00pm apparently the neurons in my brain started firing again and I shot out of bed, put on my swimming suit, and headed down to the pool.  We came back, I showered, and headed down to the casino (still in a drunken stupor).  I lost $40, tried to swift-kick myself in the nuts, and went back to the room to pass out again for a second time.

Fast-forward.  Jennys party was fun:  Jenny's jellow shots, 50 cents.  Buying the girls jellow shots, 8 dollars.  Listening to Jenny say if anyone throws up at her party she would kick their ass, priceless.  Hearing Jenny throwing up at her party and saying she's never drinking again, still pretty damn priceless.

Fast-forward.  Today was another great Monday.  Lab sucked, and I think I failed my bio test a few days ago.  Organic chem is easier this semester than last, mostly because I have a great professor.  Matt is having his birthday dinner on Wednesday night, hopefully I'll be able to make it unless lab interferes (but I'll honestly do everything to be there).  We're planning a ski trip to Boyne Mountain over spring break which may or may not happen, we'll see.  Ashley and Brian are now engaged.  My parents bought a new plasma TV because our other one crapped out, and school is still school.  This summer I'm going to be shadowing doctors at Covenant and volunteering either at Saint Marys or Covenant.  This summer will be MCAT, MCAT, MCAT for me.  I plan on studying the entire summer and then taking the test sometime in August.  We'll see what becomes of that.  This is 2006 and the beginning of 2007 in the shell of a nut.  No one uses this livejournal anymore except Aparajit.  Guess it was a high school fad or something.

Keep it real until my next update (which may be years), Mike.
