The penultimate episode of CSI last night. Quality work. The pacing, the twists and turns, all smoothly done, and omg to what happened in the end, although I had feared that would happen from seeing the dude first enter the room. *remains deliberately vague in case of spoileriness* Go, show. Got one episode of this season left, which'll doubtless have something shocking in it. Perhaps it was a good thing I didn't see last year's Tarantino-directed finale.

Never did comment on the House finale from last Thursday. Quite... surreal. Different from usual, though the quality of snark remained high, just not as frequent as normal (iirc). Not too fond of the twist at the end, but House isn't about the plot, anyway. :) Thursday nights just won't be the same without one of my current favourite shows, possibly my favourite of the year. In some ways, reminds me of how I felt after watching early seasons of The West Wing, like I was indulging in the finest wine, if only briefly.

Not to mention 24's finale on Sunday night. Most of it as generally expected, though the actual last twist was a proper surprise. Since I missed a number of episodes during the season, I found out how one or two characters I'd forgotten about had left. Shame.

Been reading Chocolat of late, which is not the easiest of novels to read when you're severely cutting down your chocolate intake. Especially when you're reading it on a train and all you have to eat are carrot slices with a dip. Feh. Still, I'm quite enjoying it, although I don't know how much that's to do with having seen the film and picturing everything much more easily, especially Johnny Depp. Mmmhmm.

EDIT: Seen via ktempest and thedivinegoat - Go, Joss Whedon.

So, why do you write these strong female characters?
Because you're still asking me that question.

EDIT: #2
Random LJing is dangerous. I just got spoiled on a major character's death (for a different show to the ones above). Boo!
