And now, the result you've all been waiting for in the Title Bout of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean versus Axel Blackmar of Arizona Dream, the winner of course was...

No. No it was not. Ladies and gentlemen and Taloon, I have a confession to make. When this battle started and Jack was tied with Axel in the votes, I had a feeling that this could be the biggest possible upset of the tournament. Axel, ranked 32nd out of 32 Depp roles taking down the best known of all of Johnny's movies? Absurd.
But it did, in fact, happen. There were recounts, there were hanging chad checks, there were conspiracies and there were lots of tears, mostly mine. But it's with a great shock I bring to you the winner of that bout in the Black Pearl Academy of Ethics...
AXEL!!!
Things are going to be heating up now... from 32 we've been reduced to 16. The winners of these matches will be going on to the division championships, and from there within sight of Champion of Depp Madness.
We also... er... excuse me a moment. .... ....... ..... Huh. Well, ladies and gentlemen (and Taloon), it seems tournament organizers are a bit miffed that Jack Sparrow was eliminated so quickly. Something about all the work they've put into a Sparrow vs. Sweeney battle... Either way, Axel will really get the chance to prove himself as he becomes the first fighter to enter the ring two days in a row! Good luck, Axel, you'll need it!
