movie mania
i saw house of flying daggers at mr. ji's place. it is the up-and-coming-out foreign film that is comaparable to hero and crouching tiger, hidden dragon. it was ok. less likeable than the other two, but ok. slice of life, but there isn't much to gain from it - not even propaganda. the movie itself is also less aesthetically appealing as hero. 2/4 stars.
saw bridget jone's: edge of reason this past weekend. enjoyable and somewhat satisfying. not quite worth the movie ticket price considering that the plot is similar to the first. 2/4 stars.
i saw 5 people you meet in heaven last night. really great premise - no wonder why it is a best-seller. it most definitely is a better book than movie. however the movie had promise considering that it was a mini-series.
HOWEVER. there are so many films coming out (or are out) that i definitely would not mind seeing.
