a really sappy post
Merry Christmas my dear flist! Thank you for those wonderful Pinto cards! Getting them made me so happy, as was sending them out. I love you all so very much.
My favourite moment from last night? Seeing dad cry over his last gift. I made him a custom calendar of his favourite characters and quotes and ever since I wrapped it I had been giddy to see his reaction. It was amazing, to see how happy I made him with something as simple as a calendar. That and Fiona's reaction over opening her Alton Brown baking book, I almost cried at that and actually cried at dad. Those were gifts enough for me, but I'd be lying if I said that Fiona didn't give me anything awesome.
The thing that made me gasp for air was the chairty gift of a replica of House's flame cane. It's fantastic, to put it simply. I really have the best sister in the world, sorry but it's just true with how happy she was to see me open all my gifts. She gave me too many, including a print of my favourite Kate Beaton comic about the Great Gatsby, which will be framed soon enough.
I love how well my dad knows me, he got me four AMAZING Star Trek shirts that I didn't even know existed. But if I didn't get anything it would be okay, as long as I could have been able to give my dad that calendar.
