(no subject)
at the hotel, very nice, but it doesn't have any wireless in the rooms. at the con. floor and lobby they have wi-fi and give you a code, but the first hours is only free. it's pretty lame, so i'm using dad's air card to snag internet via Verizon. right now we're watching US v. Ghana game in our room. the vendors are pretty disappointing, it's pretty sad. like two autograph tables and three or four people selling stuff. so we're killing time with the game, which is pretty annoying with how poor US is playing. my laptop isn't loading, which bothers me :/
but, tomorrow is the big day. meeting the Shat and Nimoy is going to be epic. dad bought a picture of kirk/spock from the show and they'll sign it and then i'll hanging it up in my room. i'm glad to be here, though, spending some great time with my sister and dad. of course, dad's work doesn't give him a fucking break, so we're pretty irate at this. but we're making the best of it :]
i feel so un-nerdy compared to most people here. saw some great orion girls that i might get a picture with, green skin and all. a verndor loved my De shirt (the DAMMIT JIM one) which was cool, because i thought they've seen every Trek shirt around.
